This Level 3 Child Protection CPD course is designed for professionals working with children and young people who require a deeper level of safeguarding knowledge, judgement, and decision-making.
The course focuses on real-world practice rather than theory alone. It supports practitioners to recognise early indicators of harm, understand patterns of concern over time, and respond appropriately to disclosures and safeguarding situations.
Particular attention is given to professional curiosity, accurate recording, and confident escalation through the correct safeguarding pathways.
Learners will develop a clear understanding of their role within the wider safeguarding system, including multi-agency working, thresholds for intervention, and the process of making safeguarding referrals. The course also explores the complexities of decision-making where information is incomplete, supporting practitioners to act proportionately and responsibly in uncertain situations.
This training is particularly relevant for Designated Safeguarding Leads, senior practitioners, and those with increased safeguarding responsibility. It is also suitable for professionals seeking to strengthen their confidence in managing child protection concerns within their role.
The course includes applied scenarios, knowledge checks, and reflective elements to support practical understanding and professional development.
Duration: Approximately 2 hours

Certification: Issued upon successful completion (minimum 80% pass rate)
